I'm on Domino's Pizza website and just for kicks ordered a large (14-inch) one-topping pizza.
Total is US$14.08.
Add tax: $1.18
Delivery charge: $1.99
Total: $17.25
Now, until online ordering (new to me), I never realized I was already paying for a delivery charge all these years. What a sham! So what am I tipping the driver for?

My husband worked at dominos in ohio they dont get the delivery charge, only like a dollar per order commision depending on the franchise owner, we used to get the 3 one topping med. for 15$. in my opinion dominos isnt worth it anyway

Yes.. Pizza cost about that much amount nowadays. I remember back then, it only cost me 11 dollars, and that is including tips.

Hardly ever do you not pay a delivery charge for pizza or anything else delivered to you. Supposedly the driver doesn't see the money from the delivery charge, which is why you're supposed to tip him/her. too. They can drop dead. After tip my pizza is going to be 50% more than it is advertised as costing.
Yeah that sounds about right. I Anytime I order a pizza I spend about $20 with tip. Delivery charge isn't for the person's pocket. It's for the gas tank. It goes up when gas prices go up.
Subway is alot more healthy and cheaper. I'd recommend Subway. ;)

Yeah there is always a delivery charge. That's why when I order pizza I get it for carry out. No delivery charge and I don't have to tip the driver.
I am always amazed at how much people will try to charge for pizza! And Domino's is Cheap Crappy pizza too! Look at the prices of some gourmet pizza, $23.75 to sit in a restaurant and eat a pizza with only veggies on it! $25.75 if you want it delivered!! Yes, the pizza world has lost it's mind..

Well, your problem is that you are ordering from a chain restaurant. Try eating at local independently run restaurants instead. The food is immensely better, and they're usually cheaper. I get 2 XL 2-topping pizzas for just shy of $15.00 at my local pizzeria, or 1 XL 2 topping for just shy of $9.00. After tax.
When I lived elsewhere, I used to get a large cheese pizza at my favourite pizzeria for $5.00.
And, you are tipping the driver for his service. Delivery charges are for the company, not the driver. It covers gas. Definitely always tip someone who drives all the way to your house to bring you something - otherwise, just go pick it up yourself.

ok the delivery charge is what they pay the driver which is 32 cents per mile they go which doesn't even cover the gas now a days at the end of your shift you give them the number of miles before work and the number after and they pay you for mileage

Being an old man (well, 48 is middle-aged) I remember when a Domino's large pizza was 16", not 14". A single topping was $6.98. Mind you, that was 1984 (probably before most people here were born). I had to know what the competition charged (I ran a pizzeria in a college town) so we could undercut them.
Actually, delivery charges are a recent phenomenon. The reason some chains started using them was two-fold: gas prices were rising (and drivers were spending a lot to deliver your pizza) and fewer people were tipping. The Dominos near me does not add a delivery charge. In addition, I use the coupons on the web site or in the paper if and when I order.

Does anyone know anything about gmail?
ok so at my work the only way to get paid is to invoice your hours online by emailing them. i made a gmail account and when i goto send it this is what it says.
User "blank" is not listed in Domino Directory
but when i had a hotmail account and i would send to that address i would have no problems. someone hacked my hotmail account and changed the password. and yes the email i'm sending to works for everyone else at my work.Does anyone know anything about gmail?
Gmail has nothing to do with a Domino Directory. You're doing something wrong.

1 My friend who is married, is most likely get back together with his wife who:
Insults him.
May have cheated on him.

Acts shady.
Granted this guy is not perfect but he can do better and has.
Why is he staying with her.
Probably because his parents did not stay married and he wants a family.
2. For 6 weeks after I got this chics number she continues to play games with me. I do find her attractive and do like her. However, she sometimes returns my pages and then acts shy as if she does not know me when I see her at work. Last week I confronted her and she said "Oh have only 30 minutes for lunch..... and then try to play it off like its no big deal. This morning she smiled and said hello and I said the same. Fine. I will suck it up.
3. On Wednesday I helped this chic out I met online.
Nothing big but it was a gesture.
We were supposed to hook up on Thursday and Friday.
She flaked both days.
Her excuse: "**** happens"
I am a professional.
I am polite.
I have a beemer and I live in a nice area of LA.
The vast majority of people I know at work like me.
I try to help whenever or whereever I can.
So for the women laughing and saying" Ha thats what you get!
Men deserve to be treated like that! Ha Ha Ha! "
Well you won.
And yes I am hurting.
And I cannot control other men even though I care about them.
The only thing I can promise all of you is this:
I will not break.
And one day, one fine day SO HELP ME GOD,
It wont be violent.
It wont be illegal.
There will be a reckoning.
There will be justice and fairness.

Need help buying a PC Gaming Rig?
Hi guys i have a budget of 1.5k - 1.6k 拢gbp i was looking online for a pc gaming machine.was wondering if this rig is any good for the price its from wired2fire.co.uk using them as i got my last pc from there and they rely do help you out on phone and even sent out a pc engineer to get my last pc working free of charge. but if you guys know of a better deal elsewhere would love to hear. again its for gaming only.and also i have no idea how to build my own.

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to play the most graphic intensive games in a breeze.
Price is a bit on the high, but nothing out of this world. If you dig those components on different sites, you'd be able to save a few quid in the end of the deal. Probably not worth it as different sites have different posting charges.
Make sure your OS is a 64 bit edition, otherwise you'll be paying all the 6GB of RAM but will end up using only 3GB.

Want to go back to school...Any ideas? Please Help!?
I was a stellar student in high school and ended up getting into one of the top Universities in the country.
When I got there, I did great for a year or so and soon thereafter got into a medical situation that started domino effect that lead to tons of financial difficulties. I tried to stay in school, but my financial responsibilities got the best of me and took a toll on my GPA. I ended up withdrawing from school under academic probation (AP). I decided to focus on my finances get a full-time job and worry about school at a later time.
My career now is totally blossoming. I was an computer science major in school and got an internship as a software engineer. I've moved through the ranks and am doing really well now...I still *really* want that degree. I know I don't *need* it, but I still want it. But because I left under AP, I had to apply to get back in...since I did so bad, they are not even letting me re-apply.
What I'm wondering is if there are any programs at decent universities (not online schools) to help people in my situation? Any ideas that anyone has for how to get that degree? Any help or insight would be much appreciated.Want to go back to school...Any ideas? Please Help!?

I want to be succesful, but it feels like the odds are against me...?
I'm facing a huge dilemma (well at least in my life). I'm a young mother to a 3 month old baby %26amp; I have decided that I want to return to school %26amp; provide a secure future for myself and daughter. I'm tired of struggling to pay bills %26amp; tired of my 9-5 that I've held for 3 years already... The problem is that no matter how I try and work my way around it, it doesn't seem like the odds are in my favor... My schedule with work and school just don't coincide... If I wanted to focus 100% on school I'd have to cut my hours but if I cut my hours I wouldn't be able to make ends meet... I'm not a single mother combined my B/F %26amp; I make 100 hours a week, but we still need to work these hours in order to make ends meet... Then due to the fact that I can't go to school %26amp; take at least 2 of the pre-requisites for the program I want to start in Sept. I may not be able to make it into the program... see what I mean? Its like a continous circle that I can't do this 'cause I cant do that.. a domino affect really... I know things arent supposed to be easy, but this seems absolutley impossible, I've even tried to take online courses but for the program I'm going for those classes aren't offered... I have the motivation %26amp; DESIRE to return to school, but it seems like I wont be able to succeed doing both... is there anyone out there who can give me some honest, inspirational %26amp; helpful advice? Have you talked to your workplace about allowing you to adjust your hours so you can go to class? It doesn't work with all jobs, but a lot will be willing to work with you if you can stay late or come in early some days, or work longer some days, or come in on weekends. You won't know if you don't ask.
And before you automatically say, "They won't do that," stop. You're setting up artificial barriers for yourself in pursuit of an easy answer. Your workplace might very well be willing to work with you... but you have to ASK.
Short answer: you can do anything you want to do.

my grandma and I used to play this old tile game, she says it was called "Rummy Que" or some variation of that name. I can't seem to find it anywhere on google.

Can anyone tell me how much this Ravensburger game set is worth?
I bought a wooden box set of games by Ravensburger at a thrift store. The instruction manual says it was made 1966 and is in German. It even came with the original reciept. It was purchased for $118 Dm in 1969. I do not know the name of this box set, as I cannot find it anywhere. It has many games inside like Roulette, memory, cards, dominos, and many others that I do not know, since the names are in German. Trouble with the Windows Anti-Virus 2011 virus...?
This is atrocious. I was doing my usual thing (checking email, looking at some yahoo articles) when all of a sudden a big window popped up saying "Windows Anti-Virus 2011 has found a virus blah blah blah." If I had thought about this for a second, I would have realized it was fake, considering I'm running Vista and it looked like an XP window. At any rate, I clicked the box like an idiot and that's when all hell broke loose. Every time I tried to get online to find the right software to beat the virus, my Spyware Terminator would tell me that something by YXU.exe was trying to break through. I used alt f4 to close all the virus boxes and rebooted in Safe Mode. Once I did that, I caught the virus in the act and opened task manager. Sure enough, yxu.exe was running, so I looked to see where it was coming from and used the command prompt to follow it's path. However, it wasn't found anywhere. I tried searching for hidden files, searching by the virus' other known names, but nothing worked. Finally I just went in to C:\Users\Domino\App Data\Local, and of course there were LOTS of folders. There was nothing suspicious though. Finally I opened my temp folder. It was the only one with anything close to the virus in appearance, so I decided that I had hit rock bottom anyway (I'd been working on it for 2 hours) and I deleted the whole folder. I deleted a few apparently empty folders as well and hoped for the best. I thought I must've hit it, because once I deleted that, all the pop ups disappeared. I cautiously took it out of safe mode and tried starting it up. Everything worked, except for one thing - Nothing would run. I tried opening Firefox and all it said was "what program would you like to use to open this file?" I tried IE and it said the same thing. I decided to run it as admin, and that worked, but I was still running into trouble. I wanted to run Ad-Aware, just to be on the safe side, and it wouldn't be a part of it at all. I tried HijackThis and it just kept trying to make me open it with another program. What have I done that everything's acting this way? Is this a side effect of the virus? u may have deleted the actual virus file but its effects remain
the registry has been hosed so the computer does not know what to do with an exe file extension
copy and paste this into a txt file - change the extension to REG and run it. it will fix that association.

It looks like the fake antivirus has broken your .exe extension for your computer, you will have to do a registry hack to get it working again. This requires either using regedit or by download an .exe extension fix off a Google search. Good Luck!

Hello, i'm trying to learn Latin using a 12 step tutorial online. I'm learning about adjectives and it gives me two examples of them in use;
1) Totum manerium dimidium mercatum terras alias et octo marcas filiis Henrici do = I give the whole manor, half the market, other lands and eight marks to the sons of Henry.
In this statement, my question is why are 'terras' and 'marcas' the objects (accusative plural) of the sentence and not the manor or market, which are in nominative singular?
2) Et debent unam marcam alii domino = And they owe one mark to the other lord.
This one also confuses me. Why is the verb (debent) at the start of the sentence when it is normally at the end? Secondly, why is the 'marcam' necessarily female?
I apologise if these questions are really obvious, but i'm just learning and i need some explanations. I'd really appreciate a bit of help :)Some help learning Latin?

A - the manor and the market are also in Accusative. Since they are neuter, Nominative and Accusative are the same - ie, their form doesn't change from subject to direct object. The only subject here is 'Ego', which is implied. If you check a dictionary, you'll see them written as 'manerium, ii' and 'mercatum, i' - -um is the ending of neuter words.
2) Et debent unam marcam alii domino = And they owe one mark to the other lord.
This one also confuses me. Why is the verb (debent) at the start of the sentence when it is normally at the end? Secondly, why is the 'marcam' necessarily female?

Just like in English, some orders are more pleasing to the ear than others, even if all are technically correct. Also, you normally put first the term you give the most importance to. Maybe here the writer wants to highlight the fact that the debt has been paid, rather than how much it was owed.
All names in Latin are masculine, feminine or neuter. There is no logical explanation as to why (other than the obvious words, like man or woman). In this sentence you can see the marcam is feminine because it ends in -am - a masculine or neuter noun would end in -um.

Plus with classical Latin, [a] it's more useful for a start and [b] dictionaries are readily available - the Medieval Latin wordlist [Latham[] is really not awfully useful for beginners.

it doesn;t matter where the verb goes. It's NOT normally at the end. Because the grammatical endings tell you what part each word plays - whether it's accusative, genitive or whatever - and the subject will be in the nominative - so it doesn't matter where you put the verb.
Nouns have gender - masculine, feminine or neuter. That does not make them male or female - it's called " grammatical gender". Marca, a mark, a sum of money, is a feminine noun, so the acc. is marcam.
