When is online dating ok?

I live in the midwest and my boyfriend lives on the east coast. we met online playing dominoes. we have not met in person yet but i feel the love. i am nervous about jumping into something with somebody that could be a fake.When is online dating ok?
I think it's fine just use commonsense.

I hear all the time it's dangerours and they could be a killer or they could be lying etc.



Just because you meet someone at a bar, grocery store, etc doesn't mean they are safe either. Crazy people go out in public too.



With anyone you meet, no matter how you met, it should be in a public place and take the time to get to know someone. Have an open mind and watch for red flags.

Those are the chances you take when embarking on an internet romance. Honestly, it is a dangerous game you both are playing. Just be careful. In my opinion I don't think it's ever okay. You never know, for sure, what you are getting.

My expeirence with online dating is that poeple will put their best foot forward online and if you meet them in person - you are usually dissappointed - not every time - but alot.
