I have recently filled out 6 different application through online application via SnagaJob.com (and online application with specific company, like Starbucks and domino through their official website.). But im not sure if thats the best way...Should I drop in and just straight up ask them if they need help or hiring? or should i wait for calls? how do you guys do it??What is the best way to apply for a fastfood/starbucks position (crew/cashier...etc)?
Drop in in off hours - not during breakfast, lunch or dinner - a quiet time.
Ask for an employment application.
Fill it out at the store.
When you turn it in ask if you can see the manager.
(most people do this).
Shake his/her hand and tell them how much you would like to work there - sell yourself quickly.
Thank them for their time.
This will show them a few things.
That you are motivated, that you have transportation, and that you can dress well and have good manners.
Also will show them that you can actually fill out an application - you'd be surprised.
Look in your newspaper's classified adds under employment for jobs.
Also visit your employment/unemployment office - they usually have a board with job openings.
