How is pizza so much cheaper than chicken?

Okay I ordered Dominos and used this online coupon: "Choose any two: Medium 2-Topping Pizzas, New 8-piece Boneless Chicken or New 8-piece Wings"

So each item turned out to be $5.99 plus tax and tip. So I ordered a medium 2-topping pizza for $5.99 and a 8-piece boneless chicken for another $5.99. I ate the entire medium pie and nearly filled up my stomach. Then I ate all 8 pieces of chicken. The chicken part was like NOTHING. In another word, in terms of amount of food, the pizza to chicken ratio is like, let's say, 10:1.

So my question is, how can Dominos afford to serve pizza for such a low price while the chicken is a regular price as if it is sold at a local non-chain restaurant? How is pizza so much cheaper than chicken?
Pizza is their number one business item.

They buy flour, sauce, cheese, and pepperoni in bulk because they are selling so many of them.

Chicken wings are an afterthought for them. They like to sell them, because they can increase their "per check" revenue numbers. They price the product the way they do because A) the product is priced according to demand-- if they sell more, they can buy more ingredients at a lower price and can pass the savings on in terms of lower prices or higher portion sizes. and B) they care more about getting to a targeted "dollars per check". If adding 8 chicken nuggets at six bucks accomplishes both goals, then we have a winner!
Because pizza dough is just water flower and yeast which are all very cheap as is. The toppings are bought in bulk and are pretty cheap as well. The chicken wings cost more because some one has to trim them off the chicken and season them then cook and freeze, plus the price of chicken per pound is higher than the others. The price of everything is set to make a profit. thing that cost more money to make have a higher price tag.How is pizza so much cheaper than chicken?
Pizza is more filling and cheaper to make than chicken. The crust, which is the largest part of the pizza is starch. Starchy foods like pasta, bread, pizza dough etc. are more filling than proteins like chicken, because starch and sugar break down more quickly than protein and fat.
Well, because at a place like Dominos, their main product is pizza. Its the most sold item, and in chain resturants especially, the popular item is always the cheapest. Chicken wings there are not sold as much as the pizzas are, so they might cost a bit more. How is pizza so much cheaper than chicken?
"Our pizza is now being made with real cheese!" - Domino's commercial.

What the hell they were using before? No idea. But I'm guessing the chicken is "real chicken"
Chicken takes longer to cook.
because they buy it bulk
