GTA IV damage/ scratch, how to fix?

Okay, I was playing Grand Theft Auto IV online today and my Dad tripped over the long Ethernet cord, which moved the console, I plugged everything back in and tried to play the game, It got past the Rockstar Copyright message and into the intro movie. It was at the picture of the two guys playing dominoes when it fadded out. I took the game out and it had a scratch about 3 inches long on the data side. How do I make this disk so it will play again, I realy don't want to buy another one, being as I already spent $60.00 on the thing. whoa dude shame on u,how dare you lay a scratch on the best game eva,just joking,well if its 3 inches long....try a cd cleaner/refurbisher you can get it at gamestop or best buy and other electrical stores,if that doesnt work, go to best buy and go to the geek squad or wateva the electronic fixing guyz and ask them to fix the cd,they will perfectly fix it,but it cost a few greens,blockbuster and family videos dont do that....well some do,but all they really do is fade away the cd using a cleaner that you can do it yourself,so best buy is the best choice,or try erasing the scratch by using cleaners that erase ipod scratches or other scratch removers in wal-mart,but beware that ipod scratch removers erase them by fading away the structure of the ipod by a little,so it might affect the cd...if that doesnt work, get a toothpaste with the um...crest pro-health thing with the tiny rough little mint particles and just rub it on the cd scratch(a little amount) or it might be like dirty or something,blow on it and clean it with a cloth or something,if all these dont work than uh..idk,buy another one i guess =)GTA IV damage/ scratch, how to fix?
im guessing you mean the top of the game that has the GTA logo and Nikkos pic, well the best thing i did was took a black sharpie marker and covered the scratch up, now if your talking about the other side, you can take it to a Blockbuster , Family Video, or anywhere that fixes cd's, dvd's and games and they can repair it for you for a couple of bucksGTA IV damage/ scratch, how to fix?
The same thing happened to me, but it was NBA 2K8. If the same thing is happening to u like it did me then all u have to do is take it to the same exact place you bought it and ask if you can switch the copy for a new one. I had bought my NBA 2K8 from Toys 'R Us for christmas and on that next day it scratched. We called up the Toys 'R Us people and they said all i have to do is bring it in and trade it in for a new one. If it's still within 45 or 30 days of when you bought it...
If it can't be repaired, go and rent a copy from any rental place. Swap it out with yours and return it saying it's scratched and won't play. Not particularly ethical, but then neither was releasing a console with a known tendency to destroy disks.
